Value & Spiritual Education

Apart from nurturing academic excellence the school also promotes Value and Spiritual education in the curriculum. Regular value classes and meditation classes have been given to the students by monastic members of the organization. Geeta chanting competition is organized in school regularly. Students also go outside school to take part in Geeta chanting competition.

Block Level Inter-school Science Exhibition

The school organizes a block level inter-school Science Exhibition. Many students from different schools participate in it.

Teachers’ Orientation Programme

The school patronises in-service training and orientation of the teachers as a part of scholastic development policy of the faculty members. Every month, as a part of Teacher’s orientation programme, Shree Guruji interacts with the teachers to share his ideas on different topics. Every year the school sends many teachers to participate in different training programmes.

vocational Training

The vocational training has been introduced for the students of Std.VII and IX. They are given training on various works and skills. Girls learn tailoring, Desk Top publishing, assembling of computer hardware, go vijnana as vocational training courses and cooking as a basic life skill course. Boys learn Desk Top publishing, assembly of computer hardware, plumbing, electrical house wiring and go vijnana as vocational training courses and cycle repairing and hair cutting as basic skill courses. Each student enrolls in at least one vocational training course. Students are allowed to enroll in more than one course depending upon their interest. The basic skill courses are compulsory courses. These classes are held once in a week on Sundays and each period is for two hours.

Co-Curricular Activities

Co-Curricular activities play a vital role for assessing exposure of students in various fields of visual and performing Arts. As CBSE is emphasizing on interdisciplinary approach and interconnection of Arts and Crafts with other subjects, so Visual Arts is a compulsory subject from Nursery to Class IX. For performing arts, each student has to study one of the three subjects (Dance, Music and Tabla).The school is affiliated to Pracheen Kala Kendra, Chandigarh University for imparting music education. The school has four houses viz. Valmiki, Vasishtha, Viswamitra and Vyasa and different clubs including Science club, Language club, Eco club, Health and Welness club, Heritage club, Intigrity club, Reading club,etc. to conduct different Co-Curricular activities. Every Friday various inter house competitions such as quiz, song, dance, debate and extempore are organized in the school. Students are learning painting, collage making, 2-dimensional drawing and craft. Students are also, learning Hindustani and Odissi classical music and Odissi dance. They are performing on various occasions in the school and outside.

Games and Sports

Games and Sports are an integral part of the school curriculum. Throughout the year students participate in various competitions organized both inside and outside the school. The students are trained by coaches in football, Rugby, Volleyball, Handball, Kho- kho and Kabadi. The school has two dedicated PETs to teach Games and Sports to the students.

Scouts & Guides

The school has a separate unit for Scouts and guides namely Sri YUKTESWAR Scout troop and Anandamayee Guide Company. For toddlers it has a separate Cub and Bulbul Squad. Total 100 students from different classes have been enrolled in these units and regularly they participate in different community outreach programmes.

The scouts and guide company were engaged in tree plantation programme and community sanitation and cleanliness programmes.

Every year Scouts and Guides appear for Block Level, District Level and State Level examinations.

Different days and dates are observed and celebrated in the school in befitting manner. Apart from this, the school has observed birthday and mahasamadhi days of Eminent masters of Kriya Yoga Lineage. International yoga day, 15th Anniversary day of school , Independence day, Sanskrit day, Raksha Bandhan, Jaanmashtami, National Sports Day, Teachers’ Day, Gandhi Jayanti, Natioanal unity Day and Children’s day were also observed by the school.
